About Gran Fondo x Egan
The Gran Fondo x Egan Bernal is a one-day cycling event in Colombia led by Tour de France and Giro d’Italia champion Egan Bernal. Starting from his hometown of Zipaquirá, the race covers 164 km of high-altitude roads in the Bogotá Savannah, with over 2,000 meters of climbing. Riders can choose between the full Gran Fondo and a shorter Half Fondo, making it an accessible challenge for different levels. More than just a race, it’s a

- Day 1: Welcome to Colombia. Transfer from the airport to your hotel, bike assembly, welcome dinner and technical briefing.
- Day 2: Explore Bogotá, get used to the altitude with a cultural day. Ride Monserrate cable car, visit La Candelaria and the Gold Museum.
- Day 3: First warm-up ride through the Bogotá Savannah. Visit the legendary Lake Guatavita.
- Day 4: Second ride and cultural immersion. After the climb, enjoy tejo and a local beer in La Calera.
- Day 5: Last ride before the race and visit to the Gran Fondo expo.
- Day 6: Gran Fondo x Egan Bernal. Choose between the Gran Fondo or Half Fondo and ride with Egan Bernal. Includes recovery massage and group cocktail.
- Day 7: Visit the impressive Salt Cathedral in Zipaquirá and return to Bogotá by train. Farewell dinner.
- Day 8: Final ride to the iconic Alto de Patios, pack bikes and say goodbye.
